Road to the challenge: Sa Batalla
The route starts in Alcúdia, one of the most popular starting points for cycling in the north of Mallorca. From there we ride through the quiet Vall de Campanet, passing through Caimari, where we stop at the well-known Café Sa Ruta Verda, a regular meeting point for cyclists. This first stretch is ideal for warming up before tackling the ascent to Coll de Sa Batalla, a legendary climb on Mallorca's cycling routes.
Mythical challenge: Sa Calobra and its 26 curves
From the Coll de Sa Batalla, the route continues to the Coll de Reis, where the famous Sa Calobra descent begins, one of the most iconic roads in Europe for cyclists. The Nudo de la Corbata and the 26 switchbacks (hairpin bends) make this section an unforgettable experience. Climbing Sa Calobra is a real challenge, considered by many to be one of the best cycling climbs in Mallorca, perfect for cyclists looking to excel.
Return between calm and summits
After conquering Sa Calobra, you continue to the Monastery of Lluc, a stop full of history and spirituality in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana. From there, the descent through the Coll de Femenia offers spectacular views of the north of the island before reaching Pollença. This final part allows you to catch your breath and enjoy the surroundings. It is a demanding but epic cycling route in Mallorca, ideal for those looking for a combination of challenge, scenery and excitement.
